SAVE THE DUCK REACHES THE TOP OF K2 IN WINTER, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY

Save The Duck enters the history of mountaineering with our second incredible record at an altitude of 8611 meters.

Once again Save The Duck breaks the rules making possible the impossible: to reach the top of K2 with an entirely 100% animal – free suit. After climbing Everest with Kuntal A. Joisher in 2019 we reached the top of K2 with climber Mingma Tenzi. With its 8611 meters, K2 is the second highest peak in the world immediately after Everest, and is known for the large amount of snow, avalanche risk and temperatures at – 60 °, aspects that make it a real “savage mountain”, wild and terribly fascinating to climb. This last expedition was particularly demanding and complex, but it also proved glorious and unforgettable, surrounded by a landscape that before today in this adverse season had never been seen.

Our research and development team built a suit based on the same technology and performances as our Pro Tech collection where GORETEX® 75D fabric, 100% recycled polyester PFCEC (perfluorocarbons) free DWR and PLUMTECH® padding technology make for elevated waterproof, wind protection and thermal insulation performances.

Pro Tech by Save The Duck provides protection against the most extreme weather conditions.
